Za'Kenzie's birth announcement

Thursday, April 21, 2005

one week old

Za'Kenzie in the hospital
after a very stressful and eventful pregnancy, i have finally recieved my reward. little miss za'kenzie. i have to admit that i was worried when the doctor started discussing taking the baby early. even though i had made it to 37 weeks, i was still worried about her health. i really wanted her to be able to room in with us and come on when we came home. like any other time you worry and unsure of the unknown, you pray. and that's what i did. kenzie arrived with only minor difficulties. she spent her first day in the nursery, but by that evening she was in the room with us. they did take her out occasionally to assess her condition and give her doses of antibiotics. it's been a little over a week since her birth and she is doing great. she sleeps alot, cries often, and has pooped on me more than once now! i am recovering from the operation and can get around now with out holding on to the wall for support. i feel so blessed and honored to have her here and in our family! to see more pics of her, check out our family blog at http://withunmind.blogspot.com/
